Teachers With Apps corresponded with developer Scott Dubois and got a bit of background history as to the origins of this wonderful app. Scott had always wanted to write and illustrate children’s books. Several years of teaching school, inspired him and Scott took a workshop with Chris Barton (Shark vs Train, The Day-Glo Brothers) and came up with the idea to explore scientific concepts in the context of biographical narratives. The Free, Timbuktu Magazine app, published his first story and Scott went on to write two more nonfiction narratives and put it all together in a nifty app for students and teachers.
