Simplex Spelling HD – Dolch Sight Words With Reverse Phonics, by Pyxwise Software Inc, is an app that has always gotten a lot of great press. We like to get to the scoop on the developers behind the apps we review. This app was developed by a Canadian team, Craig and Lisa Welburn, who have come to the app world with extensive experience in the field of technology. Craig has been in the software development industry, mostly involved in the video game venue, while Lisa taught university level courses in engineering and computer programming. It appears that a many an app has come along as the result of a young child, who inspires the task of building an app. Lisa became interested in literacy as she taught her children to read and write. Lisa’s goal is to take academically challenging work and present it in a clear and concise manner. Simplex Spelling HD does just that, using the original 220 Dolch Sight Words. This app provides leveled lists to practice spelling skills with complete ease.
