Happy Little Farmer is an endearing and clever way to teach preschoolers and early elementary children all about planting. This app was developed by GiggleUp Kids Apps and Educational Games and features traditional kids songs that can be turned on or off. Nine languages are available including Spanish, French, Italian and more. The illustrations are beautiful without being silly. A variety of activities is available, using the iPad to it’s fullest. Activities include turning the iPad back and forth, swishing and tapping. Fifteen different activities are available such as growing tomatoes, tapping bugs, looking for hidden eggs and sorting leaves. Go down in the rabbit’s hole to choose from different activities. Kids will giggle making their tractor go up and down the hills while planting and harvesting crops, as well as cleaning up trash and recycling. I tested this with my granddaughter and she navigated this app well, finding and trying all the different activities and loved playing them again and again. Remember to find the hidden purple spider in this cute app. Available in the App store for $1.99
