Independent developer, Marc Sockel is proud to announce the release of Phonetic Birds 1.0, his new educational game developed for the iPad. Phonetic Birds offers an auditory skills training for children from kindergarten to primary school. Auditory skills are heavily linked to speech development, reading, and overall literacy success.
In a series of 4 mini-games based around the motivating phonetic birds, the learners improve auditory sequencing, auditory discrimination, and auditory attention. The learners have to find pairs of birds, mimic melodies and organize birds from low to high or silent to loud. The birds are able to produce 14 tweet sounds in 8 pitches and 8 volumes each. The children learn to distinguish these possible 896 sounds carefully.
Parents or Educators can save the progress for up to 6 children. The game is organized in three game modes: The Adventure Mode, which is perfectly fitted for children playing alone, as the levels starting easy and getting harder. The Quick Play Mode for individual targeted support and the Random Mode for endless playing.
* Adventure mode with 72 levels
* Quickplay mode for full control (Pairs/Sequence – Tone/Pitch/Volume)
