Sunday evening, November 5, Mitch Resnick will introduce his new book and give a talk called “Fulfilling Papert’s Dream,” after the evening night banquet.

Here's a preview of this year's agenda ...

Monday will start with a review of theory followed a talk by Emmett O’Neill of StoryToys, who will talk about the dust and the magic of the ARKit (used in The Very Hungry Caterpillar AR).

Next Chris Byrne of TTPM will bring his unique point of view from the world of toys, and Chip Donohue will share ideas on “The Position Statement turns 5: What We Know Now that We Didn’t Know Then.”

The afternoon will include a trip to Mediatech; followed by talks and demos by Daren Carstens and Barbara Chamberlin, who will lead a brainstorming session on issues facing the field of children and digital media.

Tuesday will start with a reviewer’s panel with Claire Green of Parents’ Choice, Chris Byrne of TTPM, Jo Booth of Teachers With Apps; myself (CTREX), and Robin Raskin of LIDT. We'll share what’s hot? What’s not? and what will 2018 bring?

Bill Shribman of WGBH, Boston will give a talk called “Kids, Media, News and Media Literacy” based around the question “ What does modern media literacy need to look like in a world of mobile tech, fake news, and an endless sea of information?”

Other don't miss talks will include a presentation by  Mark Schlichting called “Creating the Illusion of A.I. in Children’s Products.”
