Teachers With Apps (TWA) took a hiatus due to Covid and has not been regularly curating the most up-to-date educational multimedia tools. This respected resource for educators and parents is soon to be under new management.

TWA offers sage advice through blogs and media releases encouraging educational models that are tried and true utilizing research and best practices in education.

Now more than ever it is essential to focus on Time Well Spent and SMART screentime for our children. TWA has a unique background in that we developed several educational apps back in '09 (pre-iPad days). This puts us in a unique niche coming full circle as edtech pioneers. Teachers With Apps co-founder, Jayne Clare, has been successfully leveraging technology in the classroom for over three decades.

We here at TWA are dedicated to understanding child development and knowing the significance of all factors that contribute to a happy and healthy child, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being. Our reviews are authored by teachers, therapists, and educators with specific expertise in the different ages/content/and special areas related to what is being reviewed. TWA field-tests every app/product with students and teachers as part of our in-depth evaluation process. We only review materials that we recommend, eliminating the need for scores or ratings. You will only find teacher-tested technology here, removing the tedium of wading through the vast ever-expanding edtech marketplace. Remember, not all apps are created equal! Read about our most recent reviews HERE.

In addition to curation, research, and blogging, TWA works directly with app developers and start-ups designing state of the art learning games as well as writing curriculum guides and sketching extension activities to accompany digital tools. Our reach has always been global and we have had stints in Silicon Valley, Prague, Chengdu, and many other cutting-edge cities. Teachers With Apps is dedicated to the idea that quality mobile educational apps are the tools of the future, but they need to be used responsibly!

TeachersWithApps is one of my first stops when looking for apps. Organized by category it's really easy to find reviews, information and more on the apps teachers are using in their classrooms. The blog posts are great too, helping find collections to recommend to teachers. - Steven W. Anderson - Educator, speaker, and blogger

Jayne Clare is an experienced educator with her finger on the pulse of mobile learning. Jayne’s passion to share the best educational apps out there through her work with Teachers With Apps is inspiring and serves as a valuable online resource. I’ve worked with Jayne when she was a guest blogger and featured guest on a webinar on BrainPOP Educators, and have always been impressed with her willingness to share her expertise with others. Teachers With Apps is exactly the kind of resource I’d want if I were still teaching! - Allisyn Levy - VP, GameUp at BrainPOP

With hundreds of new apps coming out every month, educators have more to choose from than ever before. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more classroom apps over the next few weeks. In the meantime, we also recommend teacherswithapps.com for some classroom-tested, teacher-approved ideas. - eChalk -
