What Does it Mean to Be Global?

Being Global, by SachManya LLC, is an app based on the book What Does it Mean to Be Global? by Rana DiOrio. They teamed up with Kite Readers and Little Pickle Press to put together a digital experience for our digital natives. This bilingual storybook and activity app is one that every child needs on their iPad, whether big or small, wherever they may reside, no matter what their native tongue is. This app has staying power and is not to be missed! We have been waiting to review this app for some time and in doing so have had the opportunity to share it with many students. Everyone loves this app, everyone learns from this app, and cultivating conscious awareness is what it's all about. Being Global has a cool coloring book mode, a journal mode that we love, and a lesson plan model for teachers who want to integrate Being Global into their classroom. The narrator has a wonderfully soothing voice and the music is spot-on. There aren't enough good things for us to say about this app. BUY IT, and now! This app could make the world a better place! Based on a multi-award winning namesake book, this multi-media, interactive edutainment app is a conversation starter for parents and educators to teach children about the goodness in exploring, appreciating, and respecting other children’s traditions, cultures, religions, and values the world over.

  2. Thanks for the terrific review, Teachers With Apps. The illustrator of What Does It Mean To Be Global? is Chris Hill, who used to be an early childhood educator. Today is her birthday! What a great gift to receive these accolades today. We appreciate your support.
