My oldest son sent this video to me, and even though I know it has been around for a while, I wanted to repost and share. We all need a good laugh and this is a guaranteed giggle or two. In this new world we reside in, everyday life has been turned upside down and some of the simplest daily routines have been upended. Take for instance your cell phone; it has replaced so many gadgets. When I asked my teenage child a few years back, “Where is your watch?” He responded, “Why to wear a watch, I have my phone “. Right, and your phone is your alarm clock, calendar, calculator, timer, flashlight, camera, photo album, music, TV, GPS, as well as, paper and pencil! Add a few apps and you can have a complete office/entertainment center. Don’t forget to add Skype or FaceTime, for the awesome video communication ability on this laundry list. I could go on and on, how do I know? I just Googled iPhone replaces… and I got 59,6000,000 different hits. This advertisement from the Buffalo Times came up quite a few times, Everything from 1991 Radio Shack ad I now do with my phone. The author, Steve Cichon, of this particular blog, wrote: "There are 15 electronic gimzo type items on this page, being sold from America’s Technology Store. 13 of the 15 you now always have in your pocket". You get the idea! This, of course, is not new NEWS, but it’s a great example of technology spanning two decades, now replaced by the 3.95-ounce bundle of plastic, glass, and processors in our pockets. So, just in case you haven't seen this clip, watch it now and LOL! But remember paper is not dead yet...
