Tales2Go, by Stitcher Inc, takes an old concept and brings it into the 21st century with audio books. This app has an incredible collection of stories/books for all ages with scores of splendid narrators that bring stories from every genre to life! At first we were waiting for the visuals, the interactivity, the use of features that we have become so accustomed to with iPad apps.  Finally, when we realized that this app was simply audio stories with no visuals, we understood. We really like that children need to use their own imagination just as they do when reading a story or book.  So much is spoon fed to kids today, it's a nice change. Tracy Weil, Co-Founder & Chief Mom states,  “Tales2Go is all about entertaining your kids with great audio stories that will make them giggle, laugh, think and ask questions. Tales2Go makes anytime story time!” The collection includes everything from classic fables to six-hour novels, with just about everything in between. Just to give you a small sampling - under "Most Popular" you’ll find  and How to Train Your Dragon and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.  In the "Character and Series" section you'll see American Girl and Henry and Mudge. You can also search by age. In the 3+ section alone, we found some of our all time favorites: The Little Red Hen, Jesse Bear, What Will You Wear?Five Little Monkeys (song), Curious George Rides a Bike, Each Peach Pear Plum and Make Way for Ducklings. Without a doubt there's something here for everyone. The fact that the catalog is cross-referenced by both topics and  sources, makes it easy to find whatever you might be looking for in their 1,300+ stories. “The Tales2Go app scores high with its smart, simple interface. While listening to a story, you can create a bookmark (for easily returning to where you left off), add the story to your Favorites list, and apply a rating." CNET reviews The Tales2Go app is FREE for a 30-day trial. A one-year subscription will cost you $24.99, which we think is a real deal! We give this app our stamp of approval in all areas, it's well thought out, super educational, highest quality, and so easy to use! Very appealing to a large population.
